Mental Health Therapist, Lawrence, KS
Works with clients to engage in services, complete assignments, develop treatment plans and provide individual, group and family counseling.
Duties include responding promptly to crisis situations, documents critical incidents and be available , as needed to clients.
Requires a minimum of 60 hours in home therapy per month, provides crisis/on call services and 24 hour, 7 days a week, facilitates an initial meeting with the client and the referral source ( as appropriate) within the required time frames, engages and works in partnership with the client to complete the initial, comprehensive assessment, including a mental status exam, resulting diagnosis based on the most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Develops treatment plan goals and objectives, in conjunction with the client. Additional essential functions listed in detailed position description attached to file. Requires a Master's degree in human services or related field and 2 years of child welfare and/or family services experience. Requires license by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board at the master's level. Clinical license is preferred. Compensation based on qualifications and background
