Senior Project Engineering Manager (food or dairy)
Our client is a multinational multicontinent dairy manufacturer. One of their first plants in North America was in started in Wisconsin. They make specialty cheeses like feta, brie and more. They are constantly looking for ways to improve the production efficiency and create a better working environment for their people while keeping high quality products for the cheese menus.  We are helping them find a talented Senior Project Engineering Manager that will take the leadership in that direction. This person will be talking to employees and analyzing production data, looking for the bottlenecks and challenges in the plant, then proposing engineering solutions for those challenges. This person then will develop a scope of the project, receiving input from the Quality Department, Safety Department and Department Mangers, and will prepare a Capital Expenditure presentation for approval. Once approved, this person's role is to develop the project timeline coordinating with equipment vendors and other contractors to install the food processing and packaging lines and manage the entire process. Afterwards, this person is involved with the testing & troubleshooting phase to make sure the new equipment meets expectations.  
Another major responsibility of this role is building expansions and related utilities projects. 
The Senior Project Engineering manager reports directly to the Plant Director and has one direct report, the junior project engineer.
 
Main requirement: This person must have worked in a food plant, ideally in dairy. Must have a minimum of 5-7 experience in that setting managing complex projects. 

Other Qualifications:

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field of study is required – master’s degree preferred

Specialized Knowledge
•    Agri-food industry technology and processes, project or product engineering in food or dairy processing plant, knowledge of main dairy process equipment (HTST, separator, membrane systems, mechanical, electrical and control systems associated) and FDA and USDA regulations
•    Familiar with the following trades: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Utilities, and Construction
 

The client offers relocation assistance of up to $15,000. Base salary is $135,000 and a 20% bonus potential.
