Location: Sparks, Nevada

Salary: $80-110K plus bonus 

Job Summary of the Operations Manager:  The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for managing a diverse team, optimizing operational processes, and implementing strategies that enhance productivity and ensure quality.

Job Responsibilities of the Operations Manager: 

  • Implement and oversee efficient warehouse operations, utilizing ERP systems to streamline processes, manage inventory, and ensure accurate data management.
  • Drive throughput initiatives to maximize productivity and minimize lead times, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and to specification.
  • Champion LEAN continuous improvement methodologies, identifying areas for improvement, leading Kaizen events, and fostering a culture of efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Manage and develop a team of both hourly and salaried employees, setting clear expectations, providing training and development opportunities, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Regularly review performance data to identify trends, anticipate issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and compliance requirements, collaborating with the quality team to address any issues promptly.
  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and best practices.

Education & Experience of the Operations Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and a strong understanding of how to leverage technology to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated experience with LEAN continuous improvement methodologies, with a track record of successful implementation and tangible results.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing both hourly and salaried team members.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and leading a team towards achieving operational excellence.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
