• Work hands-on with the product, understanding and improving both the Electrical Hardware and Software Systems.
• Develop technical approach including system and subsystem architecture and product inter-compatibility. Focus on Electrical Systems and Software Systems within medical devices.
• Handle incoming product support requests including troubleshooting, testing, and documenting changes.
• Working closely with the Project Manager and other Technical Leaders, you will plan, oversee and execute the technical Systems Engineering activities in the project.
• Drive refinement and translation of user and stakeholder requirements including clinical, marketing, service, reliability, and manufacturing.
• Design system or sub-system aspects of the product release.
• Responsibilities will include a combination of system definition, technical deep dive/design, and technical project management.
• Lead cross-discipline feasibility and tradeoff studies.
• Act as a technical interface to the cross functional team (e.g. operation, service, marketing, etc.)
• Plan and execute system-level technical design reviews.
• You will be part of the team that prepares documentation, including usability engineering, risk management, System Design Document, configuration documentation, DHF etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 progressive years of intensive experience in a regulated (e.g. Medical Devices, Aerospace) environment in a Systems Engineering capacity. Medical device 510(k) regulated work experience preferred.
• Systems modeling and simulation experience with LabVIEW is a must.
• Strong troubleshooting skills: You can conduct a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem and replicate it, solve it, or escalate it
• Ability to propose methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to realize the feature.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and tools, including design, testing, integration.
• Broad technical working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (EE/ME/SW) and deep understanding in Controls, Algorithm Development, and Data Analysis
• Experience in building and navigating dFMEA trees to assist clinical and regulatory team members in assessing risk.
• Three years involvement in a multi-discipline project development environment.
• Good communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and technical documentation skills.
• Systems thinking acuity.
