Controller - Family Office
Our client is recruiting for an organized and driven Controller to join their team near Bridgeville PA.
Our client provides integrated wealth management for two Family Offices.
The Controller position will work closely with other team members and manage financial reporting, accounting and office operations for our integrated offices and family entities with a focus on:
- Thoughtful reporting across all family entities
- Process and procedure improvement
- Process automation and technology advancements

Core responsibilities will include:
Accounting
Maintain accounting records for LLCs, partnerships, trusts, foundations, and other family client entities
Manage the accounts payable process, including processing invoices/payments
Manage the accounts receivable process, including the calculation and invoicing of client service fees
Perform bank reconciliations and monthly and quarterly accounting close procedures
Manage and prepare operating budgets and variance monitoring
Manage and re-design internal control procedures Perform treasury functions including cash balance monitoring and cash flow forecasting
Financial Reporting
Maintain accounting records for LLCs, partnerships, trusts, foundations, and other family client entities Manage the accounts payable process, including processing invoices/payments

Office Operations
Handle day-to day office functions including purchasing and cash receipts and disbursements
Coordinate office vendors
Maintain and improve office electronic filing procedures and document management
Family Client Support
Assist with client bill-pay procedures and ad-hoc family client request
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required; CPA a plus
5-10 years general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation and presentation experience is required
Experience in Investment partnerships and/or private foundations a plus
Comfortable with technology in general and able to work effectively in a paperless office environment
Ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly and efficiently Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Experience with general ledger software; QuickBooks a plus
Family Office / Wealth Management experience a plus
Ability to lead and direct financial operations
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize many tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude
Capable of multi-tasking with family and team members
Effective time management skill
Strong written and verbal communication skills with family and team members
Ability to handle issues quickly and promptly
