Director of Account Management – Pharmaceutical
What You will do
- Create business strategies to successfully achieve client business goals:
- Become a Client Partner for Drug Distribution, Pharmacy and Clinical Labs portfolio
- Leverage your Industry Experience and leadership to create a future roadmap of products and services in the Pharmaceutical Distribution, Supply Chain and Pharmacy Management
- As an expert consultant in digital transformation across the broad range of products and services including drugs, medical supplies, devices, software and technology to chain pharmacies, clinics and labs, hospitals and physicians
- Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities and challenges in the market/geographies in which our clients operate, and how those affect clients’ business and initiatives
- Serve as the engagement architect, work directly with client’s business (product, marketing, operations etc.,) and IT teams to position for success
- Bring strong background and track record in the new drivers of transformation – Digital, Experience, Cloud, Analytics, etc
- Develop and Execute Account Plans for growth, delivery excellence, client satisfaction and employee satisfaction
- Develop and oversee delivery approaches:
- Work closely with project/program management to ensure successful delivery through an integrated delivery model
- Ultimately responsible for shaping solutions and properly scoping / pricing engagements, establishing optimal operating models and project team organization, and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
- Serve as the Engagement owner; partner with clients to help craft the product vision and roadmaps and create compelling customer value propositions and strategies
- Build successful relationships:
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth within an account/client portfolio
- Develop effective relationships with key internal executives
- Deliver on our client’s growth and performance objectives
- Drive account revenue within the client / account portfolio as well as accelerate opportunities to influence and sell into the account
- Align with our clients goals and objectives, support company financial goals by achieving revenue and profit targets
- Support sales / pre-sales activities by acting as the lead to assess opportunities, respond to RFP’s, create proposals and presentations, establish relationships with clients and prospective clients, and help to close / sign new deals
What You Have
- 9+ years of experience in P&L, Sales, Account Management roles
- 9+ years of experience working-in and/or consulting for the Pharmaceutical Distribution, Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Clinical Labs industry
- 6+ years of demonstrated track record of developing and growing client relationships and leading teams delivering end-to-end IT professional services
- Strong Knowledge of Community and Chain Pharmacy, Drug Distribution, Specialty Drugs, Compliance, Regulatory and Clinical aspects associated with the industry segment
- Experience and ability to sell software engineering services (cloud, analytics, digital engagement, etc.)
- Executive Presence, Exceptional leadership/management skills, Excellent Oral and Written communication skills, Confident Presentation skills
- Ability to operate at the strategic level, yet being close enough to the details to add value to clients and be a real support to the team
- Strong problem solving and creative thinking abilities
- Experience in managing and monitoring performance metrics across large scale accounts and account portfolios
- Strong industry knowledge or experience with particular emphasis on strategy, consulting, team management and product development
- Track record of leading teams
- Proven ability to manage client engagements under high stress to successful completion
- Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense
- Effectively manages up and down
- Strong negotiation skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in P&L, Sales, Account Management roles
