Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
Our client, a large company in North Phoenix is going public and they need a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of External Reporting, you will be responsible for the preparation of various supporting schedules, disclosures, and memorandums in support of SEC filings. This role is hybrid, three days in the office.

- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual SEC including 10-Q, 10-K, and earnings releases.
- Research technical accounting issues, including goodwill, new accounting standards, and ad-hoc transactions (e.g., mergers and acquisitions), and prepare related memorandums.
- Prepare journal entries for stock compensation, noncontrolling interest, consolidations, and ad-hoc transactions.
- Analyze financial statements for fluctuations within SEC filings and to aid auditors.
- Coordinate with SOX, corporate accounting, HR, and operations to gather support for disclosures.
- Prepare accurate internal financial reports for executive management during monthly financial consolidation.
- Coordinate internal control compliance, process design, and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Background Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2-4 years' experience in accounting, preferably as an auditor in public accounting or within SEC reporting for a public company
- Active CPA License or actively pursuing CPA.
- Demonstrated experience in performing financial statement analysis.
