Sr. Director of Purchasing / VP of Procurement

Stamford, CT

Remote/onsite: remote for now, assuming returing to office once C/19 is over

Responsibilities: Raw Materials sourcing– ingredients (chemicals)– fragrances, inorganics, packaging – bottles, labels, resin, corrugate

Requirements: Bachelor's degree. 15+ years experience in raw material sourcing at a director level. Should be out of the FMCG industry

Compensation and bonus: $180-210k base with 20% bonus

YOUR ROLE

1. Purchasing Director - Regional Business Key Account Manager - Laundry & Homecare
2. Ensures Regional Business Unit awareness of short and long-term market trends regarding material availability, cost developments, innovation, as well as impact on the competitive landscape for the total regional spend portfolio
3. Understands and translates the strategic Business Unit roadmaps with leading sourcing solutions
4. Challenges and contributes to the development of world class regional and global sourcing strategies
5. Exhibits urgency and aggressiveness in driving FP leadership
6. Desire and passion to go ‘above and beyond’
7. Drives initiatives supporting Business Units’s L12 ambitions (incl. savings)
8. Ensures regional FP data integrity and delivery in all categories
9. Leads Regional Sourcing Category Members- ensure best-in-class execution of sourcing responsibilities and secures operational excellence in close cooperation with RSO, SC, supply-base (crisis management coordination, structural change agenda, cross-functional leadership

YOUR SKILLS

1. 10+ years prof. experience in different roles, preferably including strategic sourcing
2. Top level leadership capabilities
3. Sound understanding of business and end to end Supply Chains
4. Strong communication and facilitation skills / stakeholder management
5. Passionate and strong people leader
