New Controls Engineer opportunity for a growing company in Virginia. This role will support new and existing equipment as the company continues to make significant investments in their operations. Supporting 2 Virginia plants with the ability to incorporate some work from home as well.
Requirements for consideration:
-BS Electrical Engineering.
-4+ years of Controls Engineering experience with programming PLC's, Allen-Bradley, Siemens.
-Experience with HMI software, SCADA, and Networks.
-Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams, control narratives and P&IDs.
-Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
-Project management skills.
Scope of responsibility:
-Coordinate complex industrial machinery installations and maintenance (new and modifications).
-Leading, maintaining process control design, configuration, simulation, standards, documentation and operator training.
-Work cross functionally to coordinate electrical design, plant layout, piping and instrumentation, etc.
-Develop specifications, purchase automation components; PLC system hardware, sensors, machine safety equipment, drives, motor controllers, field instruments, control valves and HMI hardware and software.
-Supervise contractors and internal resources during installations or modifications.
-Develop, design and maintain electrical control systems and procedures in support of project requirements.
