Sr. Accountant
$65000 to $85000 Per Year
Senior Accountant- Is responsible for assisting the Finance and Grants Manager managing the day to day financial operations. Position is member of the finance management team which includes the Finance and Grants Manager and the COO/CFO.
- Works with the finance management team in successfully managing the finance functions of state-wide, non-profit organization.
- Develops and ensures compliance with organization's accounting policies and procedures and assists the finance management team in directing the overall financial plan of the organization.
- Ensures accurate and timely financial and grant reporting. Detailed position description attached to file.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field is required
- 3-5 years of direct accounting experience, understanding and ability to adhere to GAAP.
- Ability to travel as needed throughout the state and to attend national meetings. Limited travel is expected.
Preferred qualifications:
- MS degree in accounting or a related business field.
- Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Ofc. Suite, or similar software
- Experience w/ federal grants management, extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
