BMET II
SEEKING BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN BMET II (compensation depends on experience level). This position is responsible for administering the daily operations of a specific biomedical shop and providing repair, calibration, and maintenance services of biomedical equipment to provide the serviced entity with properly functioning equipment necessary to complete its charge of being a health care provider. Works under minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Provides repair and maintenance of medical equipment within a specific location serviced by Biomedical Engineering Services. Maintain repair parts inventory within a specific location serviced by Biomedical Engineering Services. Provide input to the Supervisor, Biomedical Engineering regarding new service opportunities within a specific location serviced. Rotate on call responsibilities according to department schedule.
MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF: An Associates degree in a related field form either a college/university, technical school or military institution. Certification as BMET (CBET) preferred. MUST HAVE 5 to 8 years of relevant experience as BMET or field service specialist. Working Conditions:
Working environment is free of hazards and unpleasant conditions. Work requires minimal physical exertion. Lifts and carries medical equipment.
