The Checkout Supervisor is responsible for managing the activities and pace of final checkout of equipment along with coordinating on-site or virtual customer preliminary acceptance testing and training. The Checkout Supervisor will educate customers on operational use of the equipment during the checkout process when performing in house acceptance. The Checkout Supervisor will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Field Service as necessary to safely resolve checkout or component issues. The Checkout Supervisor will have a strong bias for action, will demonstrate urgency in all activities, is customer focused, organized, detail oriented, is an effective collaborator and an effective communicator.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Manages all activities in preparation for the final checkout process and on-site customer training.

·         Creates and manages SOP’s for the checkout process.

·         Creates and manages SOP’s for on-site customer training for new equipment.

·         Participates in LEAN processes and practices.

·         Assists as needed in developing and maintaining Installation, Operation and Maintenance SOP’s and manuals.

·         Will be called on to perform testing and calibration of sub-assemblies and components for new furnace builds, customer spare parts, as well as customer returns.

·         May be called on to work with Engineering in the development of HMI and PLC software programs.

·         Contributes as needed in the process to ensure checkout schedules are met.

·         Contributes as may be requested in all aspects of the business to ensure strategic and tactical business goals and objectives are met.

·         Coordinate with customers during pre-acceptance the expected delivery schedule.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         3-5 to years minimum experience in start-up and testing of industrial electro-mechanical capital equipment.

·         Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment.

·         Trade School, Technical Degree or Associates Degree a plus.

·         Experience navigating industrial equipment HMI platforms.

·         Organized and detail oriented.

·         Strong Ability to Multitask

·         Project and Process Management Skills

·         Experience in RS View & Factory Talk View programming a plus.

·         Experience with AB SLC 5/05 and Compact Logics Hardware a plus.

·         Microsoft Office/Windows

 

Travel is rare but may be required.
