Packaging Supervisor 1st Shift
Dairy and food specialists, this opportunity is with a major worldwide dairy company. We are searching for a 1st shift Packaging Supervisor for their plant in Southern Wisconsin.
As Packaging Supervisor 1st Shift your duties will be to:
Assist the Packaging Manager to enhance the technical and financial performance of the packaging department; oversee the packaging team in meeting the required efficiencies in terms of quantity, costs, deadlines and quality and food safety.
You will directly report to the Assistant Manager - Packaging
You will be responsible for:
Packaging Machine Operators, Packaging Operators and Cheese Pullers
Supervise the packaging team’s work
Integrate, train, appraise, discipline, and ensure professional development
Lead team: delegate, instill a sense of responsibility, set targets, communicate instructions, control, listen and engage
Coordinate training needs and participate in proposing training timelines
Keep line management informed in accordance with the framework defined by Packaging Manager and Assistant Manager Packaging to
Develop staff skills, increase performance
Maintain good industrial relations.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate, Bachelors’ Degree in Dairy Science/Chemistry or science related field is preferred
Experience: 2 years’ experience in dairy production and/or food industry is preferred
2 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role
Knowledge of: Packaging equipment and processes, quality, food safety, and health and safety
Experience in: Process management, collective line management, non-line management, environmental safety management, computer/office systems
