Our client is a publically traded chemical, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food-additives company with multiple sites across the US and abroad. They are continuing the expansion of their current production sites, acquiring new companies and plan on building .green field plants. These expansions offer great potential for career advancement. In the Plant Manager role, this person will have complete responsibility for this 100 person, non-union production plant. At this site they product chocolate and caramel additives using a mixing and blending process, along with bulk packaging. This person will have total responsibility for plant budgets, along with the supervision of the EHS department, hiring, production planning, maintenance, and security. There is also a research group on site responsible for scaling-up processes and formulating new products. This department will be under the supervision of the Plant Manager, though they will not have direct responsibility for the group. One of the challenges for this role will be to increase the rate at which new products are produced and distributed. Relocation assistance is provided
Experience: B.S. Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees are ideal, though other degrees may be considered.
Candidate must have a background out of Foods, Pharmaceuticals or other FDA/GMP regulated industry.
10+ years’ experience overall with 5+years of plant management experience.
