The attorney will be part of the single-family mortgage operations and technology group, primarily working with the mortgage insurance and counterparty credit risk business areas, and providing counsel related to mortgage insurance, document custody and risk mitigation and related matters. This group is part of the SF Real Estate Department in the company’s Legal Division, which provides all-around legal support and advice to the Single Family Business area of the company, covering all aspects of residential mortgage underwriting, purchase, delivery, servicing and risk mitigation.

Advisory support to internal clients regarding mortgage insurance transactions and policy framework

Counsel internal clients related to counterparty risk issues, including eligibility standards, risk mitigation strategies, and counterparty monitoring
Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant sophisticated legal experience, either in-house with a bank, mortgage company or real estate company, or with a law firm

Juris Doctor (JD) degree; membership in good standing in a state Bar

Excellent analytical, strategic, legal research, writing and advocacy skills

Ability to effectively manage numerous issues across multiple areas and to set priorities independently
