Our client is a privately held manufacturer in the building materials industry. Their organization is growing and we are seeking a qualified product manager candidate for this role to leverage their experience to launch a new product offering. Product Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Develop a program and launch potential products into markets by; conducting market research; analyzing channels of distribution; determining product specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; and developing marketing strategies for implementation
Product Manager Job Duties:
• Determine customers’ needs and desires by calling on customers and specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
• Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
• Develop a strategic business plan for new products including the size of the opportunity, the target customers, the markets and channels, the potential margin impact, the timetable, and the resources needed for implementation.
• Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
• Monitor margins, competitor pricing and product updates, to insure we are in best competitive positions on existing/ assigned products.
• Introduce a marketing rollout of new products by developing time-integrated plans with management, sales, and production.
• Train and integrate new products/customers into sales organization including any documentation (sell sheets, competitive analysis, etc.) to get the primary see points defined.
• Work with the management team to determine priorities of implementation.
• Develop and nurture teamwork within the organization to best leverage the full talents of team members.
