FT Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist

We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Medical Technologist (MT) for full time, Monday - Friday, plus flexibility to work some weekends and holidays in a midsize pediatric practice in Northwest Washington, D.C.  Hours vary, but are approximately 9:00-6:00 with an hour lunch. 

Responsibilities:

Collect and organize blood, urine and other bodily samples from patients

Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis

Process specimens for reference lab(s)

Perform:  CBCs, Urinalysis, Urine culture, Strep tests, Minimal chemistry, Mono Tests and other

 Basic lab tests 

PHLEBOTOMY SKILLS A MUST, PEDIATRIC PREFERRED

Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist Certification required

Previous experience as a lab technician/technologist (Externship included)

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work alone

Great people skills

Five - ten years of experience.
