Overview:

Position Summary

:Design, plan, and supervise; develop and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials; develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology; analyze the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment and on people using them; determine the causes of breakdowns; test manufactured products to maintain quality; estimate the time and cost to complete projects;

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of engineering analysis and design related to inbound and outbound packaging, large metal fabricated packaging, corrugated packagine and film packaging. Designs and develops engineering projects with minimal direction and supervision. Provides shop floor support and Kaizen improvements. Supports production manager, senior engineers and production associates.

Performs process analysis and design

Provides direction to maintenance and unit technicians

Capable of managing moderate capital projects and providing capital forecasts

Serve as active member of manufacturing engineering team

Facilitate Kaizen and process improvement activities with the production and maintenance personnel

Education / Experience:4 year technical degree with 6-8 years experience in engineering role in a manufacturing environment or 15-20 years equivalent experience without a degree.

Other Required Skills:Demonstrated application of engineering skills and problem solving techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with applied experience working in a team environment
