Main Responsibilities


  • Lead the Sales and Customer Service team by developing, coaching and motivating to drive results and ensure customer satisfaction with new and existing customers


  • Ownership of customer accounts


  • Grow and develop the current portfolio of business throughout the defined territory and existing markets through management of the key account managers and customer service


  • Prospect new business within new markets, work with the R&D and Operations Team to assess feasibility & convert to product portfolio


  • Initiate, guide and analyze market research


  • Define, adjust and optimize market and sales strategy


  • Pipeline management & reporting, in support of sales forecast & budget management


  • Completion of required sales administration processes


  • Professional management of the full sales cycle and positive representation of GPI within the marketplace at all times, directly with customers, potential customers and at relevant trade shows, exhibitions and other networking events


  • Liaison with internal customer services contact in regard to customer requirements, sales support and fulfillment of account requirements. Communication and alignment on all elements of account development


  • Understand customer’s needs, maintain customer relationships


  • Communications directly with customers, potential customers and at relevant trade shows, exhibitions and other networking events


  • Maximizing new business development opportunities


  • Achieve overall sales budget, including price and margin management and price increases


  • Debt management based on accounts monthly debtor list


  • Admin, reporting, expenses, price lists, general filing



 Requirements and Qualifications                                                                                  


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Management/Administration or a relevant field


  • 10 years working in a Sales capacity within the Packaging or the Food Sector environment


  • 5 years of direct leadership experience


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
