Job Description
Our client is hiring a Returnable Fleet Program Manager who will report to the Senior Fleet & Dangerous Good Manager, to execute and manage the company’s global fleet program with a primary focus on North America. This role will focus on supporting the development and management of the Returnable Fleet (RF) program (Cylinders, Portable Tanks, Flow Bins, etc.) for all our locations to include US and International.
 
You will use SAP and other sources of data to create reports, models and other relevant information to understand company's global RF needs and specifications. Based on the information, you’ll then support the execution and oversight of company’s RF program. This will include fleet procurement/sourcing, SAP RF scripts, monitoring of process KPI’s, and fleet sizing capacity modeling.
 
In addition, this role will work with ISC leadership to ensure that all sites, globally, receive support for their region. The ideal candidate will work out of our Columbia, MD corporate office, however consideration will be made for working at one of our US manufacturing sites.
 
Additional responsibilities:
  • Support the development and management of RF technical data sheets with cross functional support from Sales/Marketing/Technical Services
  • Develop/Implement demurrage vs. rental fee analyses for RF
  • Manage leased ISOTAINER fleet & initiate fleet expansion and procurement opportunities
  • Develop and implement SAP scripts to manage returnable fleet (RF) creation, outbound fleet procedures, and GOC/MDM templates
  • Develop and issue RF sizing models at regular cadence (monthly/quarterly) using consensus demand plans from the Company Integrated Business Management (Gibm) team
  • Prepare the global fleet tracking system using SAP
  • Complete RF balancing analysis for common fleet utilized by multiple sites globally
  • Develop and issue RF idle time reports and RF Maintenance status reports
  • Develop and manage regulatory testing protocols for RF
  • Mentors plant and plant logistics personnel who have local responsibility for RF program
  • Must be able to travel up to15% to include international
Required Skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interface with business leadership team members to include sales and marketing both internal and external partners
  • Ability to translate data and conduct presentation of findings to key stakeholders
  • Understanding of all transportation modes to include over the road (TT, TL & LTL), rail, ocean, and air freight logistics and industry best practices
  • Ability to coach plant and warehouse distribution team members responsible for executing RF program using industry best practices, to include providing guidance, education and training for operations personnel
  • Proficient with SAP, Excel, Power Point
  • Self-starter who can work independently to solve problems
  • Ability to develop and track appropriate metrics and KPI’s to drive productivity and lean initiatives
  • Detail oriented and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
Required Experience
  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation or Operations
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in plant or corporate transportation management
  • Experience managing a fleet which includes procurement, tracking, capacity planning and oversight with training and educating plant logistics personnel
