Heavy Highway/Bridge Construction Superintendent

Seeking and experienced Heavy Highway/Bridge Construction Superintendent. Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years’ experience working as a Superintendent on highway and bridge projects valued at $5M to $100M. A four-year Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience, extensive knowledge of construction, accelerated bridge construction means and methods, effective management techniques, superior interpersonal and communication skill and bridge and DOT experience are required.

The Bridge Superintendent will oversee day-to-day operations and safety of their assigned project. Including but not limited to:

• Direct management of union trades people, equipment and subcontractors on-site;
• Responsibility for being the direct contact between client, public and personnel on project site;
• Manage critical project information and ensure all information is communicated in a timely manner to operations personnel;
• Adhere to labor and production schedules to ensure that projects are built on time and within or better than budget;
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications;
• Preparation and submission of one-week and three-week look ahead plans;
• Submission of all job paperwork on a weekly basis;
• Completion of daily reports accurately detailing employee and equipment hours, completed quantities and other activities onsite;
• Ensure work is completed in a quality manner according to QA/QC specifications.
