About Us

We're a leading automotive audio company, and we are looking for a highly motivated person to fill the position of Electrical Engineer in our engineering group.

This multi-disciplined role will work with the latest technologies to design audio products for our aftermarket and OEM business. This role interacts with multiple groups within the organization including engineering, new product development, manufacturing, marketing and technical support.

This position reports to the Director of Electrical Engineering

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, simulation, and optimization of electrical circuits.
Schematic and PCB layout
BOM creation
Interfaces and collaborates with suppliers and staff
Supplier support with overseas travel.
Ensures design, cost, timing, and performance targets are met.
Design for electrical assembly and mechanical interfacing
Design for high volume manufacturing
Electrical test and debug
Work closely with test engineers to define and implement end-product production test systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Audio amplifier design experience and a proven track record in leading technical efforts within an organization.
Experience in thermal design for electronics and electronics enclosures.
Working knowledge in theory of operation, feedback, efficiency, and classes of amplifiers.
Working knowledge of audio design and performance standards, design verification testing, part qualification, and quality systems.
Facility with tools and software such as Audio Precision test equipment, oscilloscopes, SPICE simulation, Altium schematic capture, layout, and Altium Vault.
Working knowledge in switch mode power supply design.
Demonstrated success in analog and digital designs, schematic development, and PCB layout.
Expertise in standard engineering concepts, best practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of EMC best practices and debugging
Ability to troubleshoot SMT circuits using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.
Familiarity with the integration of complete audio systems including source units, signal processors, speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
