Job Description

The Salesforce Solution Architect is responsible for the overall design of the functional Salesforce solution and for recommending best practice solution designs based on client business needs.

This role will require you to:

  • Map business requirements to system / technical requirements, understanding the technical depth of the project and providing functional and technical direction to the project team

  • Have deep functional knowledge of the platform to ensure successful project delivery

  • Interact professionally and interpersonally with clients

  • Design solutions, manage the project and engage in development initiatives

  • Provide thought leadership in at least one industry vertical or knowledge

  • Have overall responsibility for solution alignments with the business, requiring functional configuration skills that will be highly tied to business outcomes

  • Have a proven successful track record of designing applications, with extensive knowledge in or CRM solutions with integration to related systems

  • Challenge, innovate, lead and drive projects to close

  • Lead both small and enterprise engagements, facilitate meetings and mentor junior team members

  • Effectively manage client escalations


Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines

  • 8+ years’ professional experience designing and implementing large scale distributed applications (i.e., several thousand man-days), preferably from a consulting background with experience in establishing a new practice

  • 5+ years of CRM consulting with hands-on experience in

  • 5+ years’ experience identifying and documenting business process requirements, developing process flow analysis, data modeling, functional design experience

  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Experience with common integration patterns used between legacy systems to integrate with the Salesforce platform

  • Strong knowledge of CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies and of data management, including data capture, warehousing, segmentation, mining, storing, cleansing, and security 

  • Solid experience working with clients across Cloud transformation projects with focus on at least two of the major platforms (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Marketing Cloud / Commerce Cloud)

  • Proven experience with APEX, Visualforce pages, API programming, Javascript and writing SQL queries

  • Experience in holistic solutions with a customer 360 degree view; personalized service and marketing preferred

  • Systems design experience with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and infrastructure

  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software management tools

  • Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) techniques and tools, as well as applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Full life-cycle development in an enterprise development environment

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills and the ability to present to senior executives

  • Team player with a strong technical and business acumen and demonstrated leadership ability

  • Strong problem solving skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence
