Master Data Specialist

This position serves as a Specialist, Master Data for my client’s manufacturing facility. The incumbent will maintain and improve the master data framework for LN ERP and be responsible for the coordination of master data entry and related LN ERP business application processes as they relate to supply chain activities. This position will maintain master data across functions, while maintaining the appropriate governance, technology, standards, processes, and policy for the organization.


  • Ensure the use of standard workflows for the creation, modification, and obsolescence process, allowing only data approved by the appropriate business process owners to be uploaded
    • Execute process for the creation and maintenance of all BOM, router, and item master data elements
    • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on master data (BOM, router, item, etc.) within the supply chain operations workstream
    • Execute mass BOM, router, and item master data changes, collaborating cross functionally with owning departments, leadership and, IT as necessary
    • Participate in policy and procedure development reviews / improvements and facilitating procedure updates with process owners
    • Train business owners on the MDM creation, modification, and obsolescence procedures
    • Support LN ERP related change control implementations as needed
    • Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) as required
    • Support development of reports with IT including out-of-box and custom reports, extracts, within the supply chain operations


  • Minimum of 2 years of supply chain, master data, or manufacturing operations experience
    • Experience in regulated environment preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, business, or related field preferred
    • Experience in ERP/MRP business applications and work streams
    • User knowledge of ERP/MRP environments, item Master BOMs, routings
    • Must possess strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Capable of both written and verbal effective communication skills including presentations as assigned
    • Excellent organization, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communications skills
    • Highly skilled in building valued partnerships with stakeholders, communicating effectively, influencing senior leaders, leading change, assessing talent, and understanding analytics
    • Possess team-focused attitude and work in team-oriented environment
