This role will be responsible for driving and implementing the strategic direction of the safety function within an aggregate business unit.  Responsible for managing multiple quarries throughout Northern Texas and will directly supervise a Safety Specialist.  MSHA experience required and the position reports into a Region Safety Director.  Travel approximately 30-40% (mostly day travel).  

Position will champion safety by providing a strategic vision and build sustainable relationships with co-workers, customers, contractors, suppliers, and government officials that support company core values.   

Technical areas:

Must have at least (8) years of safety leadership in a long term role (need a stable work history) plus hands-on experience within the mining or aggregates business.  Working knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, construction and DOT regulations.
