Salary Range: $1 to $121500 Per Year

This is a full-time, permanent Plastic Manufacturing Plant Production Manager career opportunity at constantly growing, established union shop. The company is very stable and has not had a layoff since at least the early 2000s. The company is very employee-oriented and has several company events for their employees.

The career path for this position could lead to a Director of Production or VP of Operations role. Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:

• Developing and managing the manufacturing shop floor supervisors
• Managing three shifts
• Leading quality and productivity improvements
• Minimizing costs through lean manufacturing principles
• Overseeing projects
• Ensuring the plant functions properly
• Participating in safety
• Ensuring employees are properly trained
• Being the point of contact for union grievances
• Interacting with the scheduling and purchasing areas

Candidates will have a minimum background consisting of the following:

• Four or more years of plant production facility management experience
• Four or more years of shop floor management experience
• Four or more years of lean manufacturing experience
• Two or more years of managerial experience at a plastics manufacturer
• A solid work history
