TITLE: RN Clinical Trials
LOCATION: North of Columbus, Ohio

Coordinates and organizes approved clinical trials for the Center of Cancer Care
Assists in identifying qualified patients for studies; effectively interacts with study participants, caregivers, investigators, research staff, oncologists, primary care physicians, and other staff; evaluates patient eligibility and registers patient through the Community Clinical Oncology Program or other approved entity; monitors care of patient on protocol and ensures short and long term follow up per study protocol; educates and directs protocol compliance with patient, family, physicians and staff; collects and enters data for all patients enrolled per study protocol; works with patients to ensure adherence with protocols; serves as a resource for other team members; monitors accrual of patients and reports to Cancer Committee.  Delivers direct/indirect patient care to patient’s adult to geriatric utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment; implementation and prioritization of patients problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care.  Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality, age specific care.  Delegates effectively to appropriate team members.  Documents accurately and in a timely manner.  Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.  Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards. 
Graduate of an accredited BSN program for nursing education. 
Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Ohio
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
Previous experience in clinical research preferred
Completion of CCOP education within 6 months
Completion of human subjects protection training within 3 months.
Completion of Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Shedding Light on Clinical Research: An Introduction to Clinical Trials Nursing web-course or equivalent clinical trials education program within 3 months.
Completion of certified Financial Conflict of Interest training through National Institute of Health within 3 months.
The position reports to the Director, Center for Cancer Care. The department has a great team and the director is well respected.
Position is a Monday-Friday 8hr shift(8am-4:30pm).
The position will offer a range between $25hr-$32hr depending on experience and a full benefit package.
