Title:   Business Development Manager, North America -Transportation Sales

Location:  Fully Remote

Your Role as the Business Development Manager:


The main focus for this position is business growth. The ideal candidate will bring with them a book of business and solid leads enabling them to drive revenue quickly.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the regions’ success by delivering results for the company’s Business Development within North America
  • Qualify leads to develop opportunities
  • Execute sales activities within the sales process
  • Upon validation of an opportunity, initiate, propose, and manage projects from initial client

contact through the sales process on to implementation and billing of activity

  • Drive communications with the prospective client and within the company throughout the

opportunity life cycle to ensure full alignment on the customer need and value proposition of

the company’s proposal

  • Maintain opportunity and pipeline progress by providing regular Input to the company’s Executive

Management system by maintaining our CRM (Salesforce) for the duration of all potential

clients and opportunities

  • Develop cross selling opportunities within the region and product portfolio
  • Manage accounts to retain and grow existing relationships
  • Succeed at pricing negotiations while demonstrating value with customers
  • Manage bid opportunities with internal functional teams for RFx responses
  • Deliver strong client focus to ensure a strong customer satisfaction rating



Background Profile for the Business Development Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • 10+ years transportation sales experience
  • Expert in Final Mile & White Glove Services
  • Established Sales Professional with well-defined network to call on
  • Self-motivated to initiate sales and marketing calls to prospective or current clients
  • Customer focused to develop and maintain relationships with prospective or current clients
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and achieve results
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Able to navigate through CRM (Salesforce)
  • Available to travel between 25% to 50% of the time (post Covid)
