Salary Range: $70000 to $75000 Per Year

• Client, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Product Cost Analyst. This position will be located in the Elgin, IL plant and will report to the Plant Controller.

   

  • Perform analysis and interpretation of operational performance
  • Assist Plant/Operations Controller in meeting plant objectives
  • Assist with the monthly financial closing process
  • Participate in the plant budgeting process
  • Assist with accounts payable processing, as needed
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Plant and Administrative associates
  • Strong local leadership presence in production and business decision-making
  • Ability to interpret and have a positive influence on operational results
  • Strong working knowledge of financial systems and financial policies
  • Ability and willingness to support the  finance team; this may include potential periodic travel to other locations for training and/or additional coverage
  • Support PPK strategic initiative/5S/Lean Manufacturing and related local improvement projects

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2 - 5 years work experience in related field

  Preferred Skills

  • MBA or master's degree in accounting
  • CMA or CPA eligible
  • High proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with JD Edwards and/or OBIEE software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual as well as on a team
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional team
  • Prior leadership experience

  Key Responsibilities:

  Accurate valuation of inventory via proper application and maintenance of standards (material costs and operations standards as used in standard cost roll-ups)
