- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years as a Quality Manager (leading department 7-12 engineers/techs)

-Assists executive management with development of the corporate Quality Plan. Manages and directs all functions related to Quality System certification and ongoing compliance. May serve as champion of specific processes or functions within the quality system. Takes responsibility for Quality System certification programs, including ISO9001. Revises and updates Quality Manual.
-Maintains Quality Management assessment system to monitor corporate objectives. Reports data to upper management measuring the effectiveness of the quality system, including Customer's view of Quality, in-house manufacturing and machine capabilities.
-Takes responsibility for significant quality issues. Remain Hands-On with the issue, develop a plan to resolve it and communicate the plan and progress to the organization.
-Develops metrics and analyzes data to help production processes meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensures that customer requirements for documentation are met (PPAP, CAR, NCMR, QCIR, FMEA, etc.)
-Evaluates cost and responsibility of discrepant material based on established methods and procedures.
-Performs supplier quality assurance audits for assigned suppliers. Works with suppliers on continuous improvement of supply base through application of quality tools and techniques. Develops and maintains a supplier quality index to assure that only high-quality vendors are retained.
-Create and sustain a culture based on Continuous Improvement. Develops and monitors Quality Continuous Improvement Projects. Suggests solutions to eliminate chronic/repetitive quality issues.
-Develops and implements Corrective Action, determines Root Cause and monitors effectiveness of actions taken.
-Participates in New Product Introduction to insure that manufacturing process capabilities match customer requirements.
-Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures and Operations Department staff.
-Meets with customer liaisons on a regular basis to ensure direct communication and satisfaction, including but not limited to investigating customer complaints regarding quality. This includes on-time, comprehensive 8-D Corrective Action Analysis and functional containment / contingency planning.
-Provides training and procedures to production teams related to quality improvement initiatives and monitors successful implementation.
-Provides avenues for personnel development and career growth. Serves as mentor and coach for Quality Assurance Department staff.
-Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
